Olivia’s 6 Month Session

When I think of Olivia I think of one thing – her many expressions. Well, two things… her expressions and her big blue eyes.

Um, yeah… ridiculous, huh??

Nick’s Newborn Session – 5 Days Old

There is another beautiful baby in this world – meet Nick. He is simply perfect in every way. Here are a few photos from yesterday’s session in his nursery. Congratulations, Steph and Ian. I can’t wait to watch this little man grow.

I love this shot – in a few weeks Nick is going to look completely different. This shot has newborn written all over it…

This shot makes me laugh – the plan: a family portrait in the nursery. Well, it is a family shot, but Sydney (the dog) is supposed to be hanging out with her family… not dominating the foreground! Dogs and children – a mind of their own!

And what session would be complete without Cale – here he is meeting Nick. He wasn’t quite sure what to think. These two will be partners in crime in no time!

Breakfast with Santa – Fleming Farm, West Simsbury, CT

This past weekend we started a new tradition in our family – breakfast with Santa! What better place to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus for the first time than at Fleming Farm over a plate of their fresh scrambled eggs, pancakes and home fries. Yummy!

No tears this year – Cale was all smiles. What can I say… Cale loves red. It was a bit chilly for a trip out to reindeer land this year – we’ll save that adventure for next year!

Baby it’s cold outside…

I have always been an active person – someone who enjoys being on the go. Having a baby has forced me to slow down, live in the moment, and just drink in life. I used to hate being stuck at home, but these days I relish days when we are home all day, just hanging out. Yesterday it was so cold – we went out and got all of our errands done early and spent the afternoon playing in his nursery. These are the simple moments that I am going to miss – watching him learn, explore and play. Man, life is so good…

This is a common view for me right now – our little guy, trying so hard to walk, loves to pull up on things, including mom’s pants… I think this is going to be one of my all-time favorite photos of him. No, not an award winner, but it is the one I love…

It has been so much fun watching him learn to pull up on the rocking chair – does it like a pro now, and even lets go and stands for a few seconds before gravity gets the best of him.

Our happy little guy… always looking for a good time.

Cale’s First Snow!

We got outside just in time – the snow is just starting to turn over to rain. Here is Cale in his ***NEW*** house, enjoying his first snow!

No, that is not an icicle hanging from Cale’s chin… poor guy is on a non-stop teething spree. Yes, drool and all – I love it.

Rick & Janine – Villa Montana Beach Resort, Isabela, Puerto Rico

After a few days of play it was time to get to work. This is the last wedding of my 2009 season – while I was down there I realized my first wedding of next season is also at Villa Montana – a wonderful way to start and end a year!

Rick and Janine had a picture perfect day to get married – warm and sunny – not a cloud in the sky. I am going to let the pictures do most of the talking – it was a beautiful celebration.

This has been a busy month in the Carmody household. In a matter of two weeks we purchased our first home, moved, and went to Puerto Rico to photograph a destination wedding, take photos of a resort, and celebrate Thanksgiving. Not a bad few weeks, huh?

Cale turned 8 months while we were down at Villa Montana – here he is hanging out on the beach before dinner…

Celebrating Thanksgiving away was a first for our family – here we are Thanksgiving morning at a small beach just down the road from where we stayed. We did a much needed family portrait and then spent the morning snorkling. Cale loved the bright colored boats…

Carrie and Jason’s Engagement – Rosedale Farms, Simsbury, CT

This session was so much fun. I found myself reminded why I fell in love with Simsbury when we moved to Connecticut, and why we are making this our permanent home. It’s the farms – I LOVE all the farms. From local fresh veggies to sweet treats to locally made wine – it is all minutes from my doorstep. Does it get any better?

This session took place at Rosedale Farms – one of the first farms my husband and I fell in love with. It was a beautiful fall day and Carrie and Jason were simply wonderful to work with. I know I’ve said this often… but really, I have the BEST JOB EVER. Here are a few of the images from our afternoon…
