This past weekend I met the Hammond family at the Bartlett Arboretum in Stamford. It seems like just yesterday that I was discussing Weatherly and Noah’s plans for a destination wedding in Maine… and now here we are at Nathaniel’s one year session. Yep, time flies. First I met a beautiful couple… now I get to meet a beautiful family. Sessions like this one are what keep me excited about my job everyday. I love taking photographs, but what I love even more is documenting the lives of the wonderful people I work with.
Beyond all else, I photograph relationships and interactions between people. The Hammond’s = Fun-loving. You can’t help but love these guys!
I didn’t realize I was going to witness and circus performance when I arrived for this session – Nathaniel enjoys all sorts of acts – hanging from trees, sitting high atop Dad’s hand… here he is flying through the air courtesy of dad…
We found a beautiful perennial garden and thought it would be perfect for a family shot – Nathaniel, however, was fascinated by the red crushed stone. Plan b – let him enjoy the discovery for awhile. I think we could have left him there all day and he wouldn’t have noticed we were gone. He was that enthralled!
Here Nathaniel celebrates the snacks he walked to. I’m not sure who looks more proud, Nathaniel or mom and dad!
Taking a moment with Weatherly and Noah alone…
Yep, this is the couple I have so many fond memories of working with a few years ago!
