When I first met Jen and Peter a year ago I was thrilled that they wanted to do some portraits in the West Village before they got married at the Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers. The brownstone buildings and graffiti covered garage doors were a perfect backdrop for pre-wedding photographs. The entire session only took an hour – I am so glad that the weather held out – we had a blast!

When we weren’t looking for cabs they were everywhere. The second we started looking there were none in sight… here is the one they eventually flagged down – worth the wait!

I am not sure why I love this photo so much – it is actually one of my favorites from the entire day. I love how it has just enough detail to show there is a bride in the car – it just says New York wedding to me. I went back and forth about including it in the blog, but my eyes kept getting drawn back… so here it is!

I love how the Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers is urban and minimalistic – this shot shows the venue as the final touches were being taken care of.

Before the wedding we had a few extra minutes – I quickly snapped these of Jen as she was hanging out in the bridal suite with her wedding party.

Jen was rocking a fabulous pair of Manolo Blahnik’s – I LOVE them!

Their ceremony overlooked panoramic views of the Hudson River.

Their celebration was under what seemed like hundreds of candles hung from the ceiling – perfect. Congratulations, guys! I had a wonderful time working with you and your family!
