It is no secret that I love my job. I love documenting stories about people, stories about families and friends. Perhaps that is why I love shooting weddings – it is a day when families are united in ceremony and celebration.
When I met Rob and Caroline at our first consultation I knew instantly that theirs was a story I wanted to capture. The love that they share for each other and their families was immediately apparent. The result was a ceremony and celebration that was both authentic and beautiful.
I think the relationship they share was beautifully illustrated as Caroline walked down the isle at the church – with her mom on one arm, her father on the other – and Jaden (Rob and Caroline’s son) holding on to her hand. Jaden is three years old and decided half way down the isle that he didn’t want to walk anymore. Without missing a beat Caroline reached down and picked him up and lovingly carried him the rest of the way. Weddings are seldom ‘perfect,’ and it is often the unplanned moments that end up being the most beautiful and memorable. Her entrance set the feeling for the entire ceremony which focused on the importance of family in their lives. I feel honored to have documented their day. Here are some of my favorite images…

I am awaiting permission to use a few photos of the flower girls… stay tuned for the update! They are beyond adorable!
