I met Amy several months ago at our prenatal yoga class (Lotus Yoga in Manchester – Melissa is simply the best – if you are looking for a yoga class, Lotus Yoga is the place to go. I drive 40 minutes from Simsbury every week just to take her class!).
This past weekend I had the opportunity to photograph Amy’s newborn daughter, Madelyn, at her home. Just over a week old, Madelyn was alert and awake, ready to take in the world!
Murphy, their 5 year old yellow lab was as calm as could be. While Amy and Madelyn took a break to nurse I took the opportunity to showcase Murphy taking his role as big brother quite seriously. Funny thing is that a few weeks ago during Amy’s maternity session he was anything but calm – amazing how intuitive the dogs in our life are…
In the end we had a content, sleeping baby with full belly…
Congratulations, Amy! I am so happy for your and your family. Thank you for welcoming me into your home and I look forward to seeing you in 8 weeks or so at the Mommy and Me yoga classes!
