Eva’s Newborn Session { Connecticut Newborn Photographer }

Remember Glendaly?  She was beautiful pregnant and is now a beautiful mom.  I’d like to introduce you to baby Eva.

I love how at even just four days old their little personalities start to reveal themselves.   She is already creeping to all sides of her bassinet, preferring to be stretched out and comfy. Like so many her age, she is a night owl, preferring to snooze the day away and keep mom up at night.  She was a little angel, sleeping through most of the session, but we did manage to get a few shots of her curiously taking in her new surroundings.

Here are some of my favorites from Eva’s newborn session…

Olivia’s 1 Year Session { Connecticut Child Photographer }

I simply cannot believe it – Olivia just turned one.  Where did the time go?  It feels like just a blink-of- an-eye ago I was meeting Jess at our Mommy and Me yoga class – now Olivia, one of the youngest in our group is officially a toddler.  She is cutting teeth, walking… and starting to talk up a storm!

We started the family session at Phelps Tavern Museum in downtown Simsbury.  The flower gardens were a hit …as were the ridiculous monkey noises it took to work out this smile!

The baby blues that haven’t faded a bit!

Where is Olivia?  Whew, there she is!  Thought we lost her for a bit… Don’t forget to check out those two bottom teeth!!

Cannot resist the shoe shot…

Too cute…

…last one, I promise.

Saving my favorites for last.  We drove down route 10 a bit and found this beautiful field full of texture and color.  Olivia giving mom some love…

…and dad some love…

Beautiful family, inside and out!

Baby Darcy { Simsbury Connecticut Baby Photographer }

I met Cybele over 10 years ago – she was my dear roommate on Semester at Sea.  Over the course of four months she would plant a seed that would lead me to my current, and much loved, occupation as a photographer.

We traveled the world together and had many adventures along the way.  Now we have a different shared experience, motherhood.  I cannot express the shear joy I experienced when I got to photograph her baby Darcy this past weekend as they stopped by our house on their way back to Philly.  Here is the beautiful little one!

One happy little girl, that is for sure!

A serious moment… checking out those toes…

I love the little ones – the emotions come and go so quickly.

Watch out – Cale liked to do this at four months, too!  I see an early walker in your future!

Katie & Cody’s Wedding { Avon Old Farms Wedding Photographer }

Katie and Cody were married on July 16, 2010 at the Avon Old Farms Hotel in Avon, Connecticut.  Yes, the day may have been hot (sweltering, really) but the location was beautiful, the sun was shining, and everyone was in great spirits – the kind of day that makes me love what I do.

Both Katie and Cody got ready for the wedding at the Avon Old Farms hotel which gave me the option to photograph them both getting ready.  I love how this helps complete the story of their day.

There are TONS of favorites from this wedding – here is what I could manage to narrow the selection down to.  Hope you enjoy!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these shoes!  Yeah… I could have shot them all day!

Katie’s wedding day was sprinkled with meaning throughout.  The photo on the right shows the necklace that belonged to her great-grandmother and the handkerchief her aunt embroidered for her.  Martha Stewart can’t compete with this sentimental stuff!  Wonderful choices!

Last shoe shot, I promise!

Like what you see?  Here are a list of vendors Katie and Cody used…

Venue – Avon Old Farms Hotel
Florist – Flowers from the Farm
Dress – Augusta Jones, purchased at White Dress by the Shore
Cake – Creative Cakes by Donna
Shoes – Nina, purchased from Zappos

Lauren & Eric’s Wedding {Hop Meadow Country Club Wedding Photographer}

Lauren and Eric were married on June 19, 2010 – I know, I am slacking on the blog posts lately.  A combination of a busy summer and morning sickness (yes! we are cooking up #2 at my house) I have found myself slacking in the blog department.  But here it is – worth the wait!

Lauren got ready at her parents house in Simsbury – I love the idea that she prepared for her wedding day in her childhood bedroom, where she no doubt (like every young girl growing up) dreamed about her wedding day.  Love it!  They got married in West Simsbury and then headed to the Hop Meadow Country Club in Simsbury for their celebration.   Here are a few of my favorites…
